Product Features

Product Description:

Perfluoropolyether (PFPE, commonly known as fluorinated oil) contains fluorine (F) and oxygen (O) atoms bonded to the C–C main chain in its molecular structure. These atoms have strong electronegativity, which gives PFPE excellent chemical stability, thermal stability, and outstanding physical properties. Compared with chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) lubricants, PFPE lubricants offer a broader application range and do not have the drawbacks of CFC lubricants, such as easy evaporation at high temperatures or thickening at low temperatures. Furthermore, since PFPE molecules do not contain chlorine, they will not cause bearing corrosion due to lubricant compression under high-load bearing conditions.

Key Properties:

  • Excellent lubricity

  • High dielectric strength

  • Compatibility with metals, plastics, and elastomers

  • No flash point or fire point, non-flammable

  • Chemical inertness

  • High thermal stability

  • Outstanding radiation stability

  • Low vapor pressure

  • Low volatility

  • Low surface tension

  • Resistance to water and solvents

  • Non-toxic and environmentally friendly

Application scope

Perfluoropolyether (PFPE) oils exhibit outstanding lubricating performance and are widely used across numerous industrial applications.

  1. Electromechanical Industry: PFPE is suitable for applications requiring excellent lubrication and arc-extinguishing properties, such as lubricating electrical contacts, push-button switches, arc-resistant switches, and sliding contact components. It can also be used as instrument isolation fluid and gyroscope suspension fluid.

  2. Film Capacitor Manufacturing: FI04 is widely used in the production of film capacitors.

  3. Precision Instruments and Medical Equipment: Lubrication of fine instruments and surgical devices.

  4. Gold Contact Surfaces: Lubrication of metal contacts.

  5. Aerospace Applications: Lubrication for rocket nozzles and missile ejection systems.

  6. Nuclear Industry: Lubrication of high-speed centrifuge bearings.

  7. Automotive Applications: Lubrication in anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and fuel tank floats.

  8. High-Performance Bearings and Gears: Lubrication of sintered metal bearings, lifetime-sealed maintenance-free bearings, bearings exposed to high temperatures, moisture, and chemicals, as well as gears and turbines.
